About Exalted
One person, one product, and one job: getting the nice things your clients say onto your website.
Why it exists
Every good plumber, cleaner, coach and accountant I know has a phone full of thank-you texts and a website with no testimonials on it. Nobody asks while the work is fresh, the moment passes, and the website goes on saying “quality service you can trust” in the owner’s words instead of a customer’s.
Exalted closes that gap. You get one link. You send it to a client whose job went well. They rate you and write a couple of lines, with no account to create and no app to install. You approve the ones you want, and they appear on your website on their own. Collecting them moves you up a ladder, from Friendly to Exalted, because asking is the step everybody puts off and a score is a reason not to.
Who runs it
Exalted is built and run by me, Tyler Helton, in Illinois. There is no sales team and no support desk. Email hello@getexalted.com and the reply comes from the person who wrote the code, usually within a day.
I also write the blog, which is about asking well and what to do with the answers, and the pages on when to ask in 61 different trades.
Three things it will never do
- Edit a testimonial. There is no way for a business, or for me, to change the words a client wrote. Every published testimonial has a page showing when it arrived and that nobody has touched it since, and the widget links to it unless the business turns that off.
- Publish anything on its own. Every submission waits for the business to approve it. Nothing appears on a website until the owner says so.
- Track anyone. No analytics, no advertising pixels and no third-party cookies, on this site or in the widget on yours. The privacy policy says the same in more words.
What it costs
Starter is $9 a month or $85 a year. Pro is $19 a month or $180 a year. The price is set so a one-truck business never has to do the math on whether it is worth it. Every account starts with 14 days free, on Pro, and no card is needed to begin.
